DDM4 V7 as a first AR

I know this is a loaded question on a Daniel Defense forum but I want genuine answers, not just hometown loyalty. I've been shooting a PSA for two years and I'm thinking about upgrading to a V7 as a long-term piece. The PSA has been totally fine and I've had no real complaints but I keep reading that there's a build quality and consistency difference you can feel with DD, not just one you see in spec sheets. For people who made a similar jump, did the DD feel meaningfully different or did you mostly just have a nicer-looking gun that shot the same?

You’ll notice fit and finish more than performance both still put rounds where you aim.

That PSA to DD jump is less about performance and more about your wallet suddenly developing opinions mid-range day.
