Daniel Defense quality control

I want a real conversation about this because the brand commands a serious premium and that premium is partly justified by reputation for consistency. I've had two DDs and both have been flawless. But I've seen occasional posts elsewhere about QC issues , small stuff mostly, fit and finish rather than function. For people who've bought more than one Daniel Defense over the years, is the consistency real or have you seen variation? And if you've ever had an issue, how did DD handle it?

I've owned and shot several over the years and the consistency has been one of DD's biggest strengths. Nobody is immune from the occasional QC slip but most issues I've seen reported were cosmetic rather than functional. Their customer service has generally had a good reputation for making things right when problems do pop up.

That’s been my impression too. When you’re paying that premium, expectations are high but in practice most owners seem to report boring reliability..which is what you want. The rare complaints I’ve seen usually get sorted out quickly.

Both of mine worked perfectly, and a couple guys at my range mentioned similar fit issues. Doesn’t sound like a problem with function though.
