Daniel Defense warranty process

My brother needs to send his rifle back to Daniel Defense for some warranty work. For those who’ve done it, what’s the actual process like?
How do you handle shipping, do they send a label, or are you on the hook for the cost?

Also, is it a total headache to get it boxed up and sent out, or is their customer service really as smooth as people say?

Have your brother contact Daniel Defense customer service first, and theyll set up an RMA and give a step-by-step instructions on what to do. Depending on the situation they may provide a shipping label or tell you how to send it in, but they dont want you shipping anything until theyve approved it. This is my suggestion, i havent really encountered it yet or heard anyone who have

Call and talk to them, it should be the receipt that only matters
